London-based and Yorkshire-bred, I’m a journalist, copywriter and editor who creates compelling editorial and commercial copy across multiple platforms. I have expertise in travel, LGBTQ+ lives, social justice issues, culture and the criminal justice system, but can put my pen to most subjects. 

As The Independent’s primary lifestyle and travel freelancer, I’ve written over 1,500 stories covering everything from Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral and the Covid-19 pandemic, to stories about so-called LGBTQ+ conversion therapy, women who gamble, and women drag queens. I’m used to a fast-paced working environment, whether it’s writing breakers, live blogs or longer form pieces, and can handle stories with both sensitivity and levity.
